132 House of Prayer (HOP) is a prayer ministry serving the Lubbock / West Texas area. We provide the Church with a regional place of corporate prayer. Our desire is for people to remain involved in their local church while participating in weekly prayer meetings here at 132 HOP.

What is a House of Prayer?

A place of encounter with God — a dwelling place created by the vehicle of worship, prayer, and intercession. From this place of encounter, the kingdom of God is released into our city. Jesus said, "My house will be a house of prayer, for all nations." (Mark 11:17)

What do you do here?

While in the prayer room, feel free to join in with corporate Prayer & Worship, read your Bible, or write in your journal. We provide communion elements for a time of personal communion.

Ministering to the Lord

We take time daily to minister to God and worship Him because He is worthy of it all. We are dedicated to an audience of One — offering our time, our songs, and our prayers each day, no matter how many are in the room.

From a living room to a shared altar for a city

Our Story

In the fall of 2021, Saul Caballero felt the Lord calling him to step away from the familiar and pursue deeper formation at the UPPERROOM School of Ministry — a season marked by surrender, growth, and a renewed vision for what it looks like to minister first to the Lord.

After completing ministry school, Saul sensed a clear call to return home to Lubbock with a simple but powerful assignment: start a house of prayer. Alongside his wife, Sheila, they opened their home and began gathering friends to worship and minister to the Lord.

What started in a living room quickly grew into something more. As gatherings continued, Saul and Sheila stepped out in faith and moved into a small office space in a shopping strip — a dedicated place where people from across Lubbock could come together to seek the Lord.

Today, 132 House of Prayer stands as a testimony to simple obedience. With the help of dedicated volunteers and a growing community, we host prayer sets morning, noon, and night — creating space to minister to the heart of God and host His presence.

DWELL Intensive — Coming Summer 2027

DWELL is a 4-week intensive where we dive deep into all things prayer, biblical foundations, hearing the voice of God, and practicals for leading in prayer.

Monday–Friday, 6:00–8:30 PM. Includes sitting in the prayer room, study, and practicals. Cost is $25. More info coming soon.

Gen Z Prayer

Since 2022, 132 HOP has been a place where young people with hearts on fire gather to intercede for their generation, believing for revival and transformation. Situated in the heart of a college town, we host dedicated Gen Z prayer sets for students and young adults.

Can all ages come? Yes — we are simply praying and interceding over this specific generation (born ~1997–2012).

Serving at 132

Interested in serving on a prayer set? Our musicians and prayer leaders serve together to steward an atmosphere where the Lord is welcomed, honored, and ministered to — cultivating a resting place for His presence.

We ask prayer team volunteers to make a three-month quarterly commitment, attending their team's set each week. Teams arrive 15 minutes before the set begins (pre-brief) and stay 30 minutes afterward (post-brief).

For example, a Friday team commitment looks like: 5:45–6:00 PM Pre-Brief · 6:00–8:00 PM Prayer Set · 8:00–8:30 PM Post-Brief.
